This series of caches is placed along The Prarie Duneland Trail, a beautiful paved walking/biking/skating trail that runs 10 miles from Chesterton to Hobart.
As the Eagles first taught us, not all that long ago, life in the fast lane will surely make you lose you mind! Everyone today seems so obsessed with speed...faster has become synonomous with better. We want faster cars and faster computers, and heaven forbid we find ourselves in a dead-cell area! We've created this series of caches to help us all slow down just a little. We invite you to take a day off, leave the cell phones at home, and enjoy a day on the trail biking, cacheing, relaxing, and enjoying the benefits of being outside using your body and mind.
Countryside Park includes the Al Goin Museum, The Traeger Homestead, a nice fishing lake, and a great sledding hill. The museum has very limited hours, but the park is open dawn to dusk. Water fountain and port-a-john on site. Cache is a cammo rubbermaid container. Watch for poison ivy.
