September 16 & 17th 2006

Mark your calendar for the 1st annual Southwest Kansas Geocachers Fall Find at Arkalon Park just 9 miles from Liberal Kansas!

Arkalon Park offers wonderful camp sites both with electricity and without. They have great facilities for us to use for gathering and for showers/restroom. Bring your camping supplies or stay in a local hotel (more details to come) and join the fun! Check our web site all the details! Event will include good food and company. Hide and Seek game for temporary caches with prizes for the best cache. Maps that include the almost 30 park caches and more! Bingo game and much much more! Food is included in the registration fee on Saturday evening and Sunday morning breakfast and lunch. Bring your tent and leave the cooking to Boy Scouts Troop 143. If you preregister by Sept 1 a t-shirt will be included in your welcome packet!

Send Name/ User name and contact info for each person to Troop 143 Po Box 81 Satanta Ks. 67870 25$ in registered by Sept 1, the price inculudes a t-shirt! If registering after Sept 1st the shirt is not included.

List of prizes are growing! They include a eXplorist 200 from Talas Navagation! Log in and let us know your coming and we will give you a extra entry into the drawing for it!

Coyote2 and Cookie 42 have been adding new caches like wildfire! Thanks to them we are now OVER 30 possible logable caches withing the park itself! Thanks guys especially for the night caches! Good going we are all looking forward to getting them Saterday night!


The more info you have been waiting for! Opening Ceremony will be at 12 on Saturday You are free to cache in the park before noon and check in when ever you arrive. Menu as follows Saturday night 8 Pasta & Sauce Salad Corn Fried Squash Cake Sunday Breakfast 7-8 Breakfast burritos Sausage and Biscuits Orange Drink Coffee Sunday Lunch 12 Hamburgers Hot Dogs Pork & Beans Chips Cookies Tea and Water Weather permitting we will have marshmallows to roast over open flames at the social following dinner on Saturday. Don’t forget the three night caches in the park before you turn in for the night! Closing Festival will begin at 12 on Sunday Bring a prepared cache to the event to hide for the hide and seek game. Winners will be awarded by votes cast from other cachers.
