Geocache Description:

This is one of 4 caches placed adjacent to the Saw-whet Trail, a part of the Trans Canada Trail system. Except for the cache, please stay on the trail.

The cache is in a cigarette pack size camoed container and contains a log book, pencil and a couple of small articles for trade. The Saw-whet trail was named after the Saw-whet Owl which is very rare and has been noted to be seen in the vacinity of parts of the trail. Attached are two documents which give more information about the trail. Parking can be found at N50 36.073 W104 54.234 which is one of the accesses to the Saw-whet trail. There is a tremendous look out just up the trail from the cache location, with a great view of the Saw-whet bridge and well worth the walk. The Saw-whet Trail is very scenic, with great views of the Qu'appelle Valley, a variety of flora and fauna and wildlife and I encourage you to take the whole trip (if you do you will run across all the caches!) The trail is only open during daylight hours.
