Bridge Out: No More Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: I noticed that this cache has remained temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of 'a few weeks' as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. For now, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact me at the below e-mail address when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

If you haven?t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past.

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

About a half mile walk in from the nearest road, this trail is very scenic and full of wildlife. During the summer months the bugs are fairly bad, so you might want to use some kind of repelent.

The Ahnapee State Trail is a multi-use trail. It is used by people who travel its length in multiple ways. In the summer some people walk, some jog or run, some ride bicycles, and some ride horses or drive horse drawn wagons, buggies, or carts. In the winter snowmobiles and cross-country skiers share the trail. One of the goals of the Friends of the Ahnapee Trail is to promote safety and courtesy among all of us who share the trail. Please use common courtesy when coming upon other people along the trail. The cache is located near an old railroad bridge that has now been turned into one of the most important bridges along the trail. Before being rebuilt 5-6 years ago the old bridge was washed out by the river in 1986. Please use caution when approaching the cache, the terrain may be rough. Container is a one gallon ice cream bucket filled with trade items. You should only have to remove the cover to get inside. Original cache contents include Jeep TB, Splash Bomb Water Toy, Mini Dump Truck, Rubber Duck, Various Golf Balls, and some Happy Meal Toys.
