Grab your camera and hop off at Greycliff to delight in the
playful, curious blacktailed prairie dogs who live here.
Interpretive signs provide information on the important role of
these entertaining animals. State Park Overview: Greycliff Prairie
Dog Town State Monument is located in southeast Montana. This
historic site is for day use only.
This blacktailed prairie dog community is protected and
preserved through the efforts of the Nature Conservancy, the
Montana Departments of Transportation and Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
Interpretive displays help to tell the story of these small
entertaining prairie dogs. The parking area to watch the prairie
dogs is disabled accessible and pets are allowed,
but MUST BE ON LEASH. Visitors are reminded not to feed
the prairie dogs.
