Swanda Homestead Cache--need a boat-- then follow the trail from the south side of mountain--look for a sign to direct you--then follow the trail
SWANDA HOMESTEAD
At one time a rock house,barn and a storage shed were part of this 40 acre homestead. Although large pine trees are now present, the past owner Thomas Swanda, had cleared the land to plant grapevines, peach trees, apple trees & tobacco when he lived here in the early 1900s.Only a few people here now remember Mr. Swanda, but many of you may be familar with his grandson, movie star, Clint Walker.
Cache is located under a rock in nearly plain sight. The climb up is steep but not hard and is short. Have fun---
