Geocache Description:

The Ridgeway National Trail is an 85 mile long path following a prehistoric chalk ridge route, running from Ivinghoe Beacon to Overton Hill near Avebury. All sections can be walked and others, listed as Bridleways, can be cycled and ridden too. This series of caches was placed as a power trail to draw cachers to this amazing and ancient right of way. Warning: BECAUSE THIS CACHE BEGINS IN A 'SENSITIVE' LOCATION, IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED AS A NIGHT CACHE. ADDITIONALLY, THE FINAL HIDE IS OVER HALF A MILE AWAY, TO AVOID ANY POSSIBLE PERCEIVED SECURITY RISK.
Instructions: BEST DONE WALKING AWAY FROM IVINGHOE BEACON AND THE MONUMENT ON COOMBE HILL. AT THE ABOVE LOCATION YOU SHOULD BE BETWEEN TWO IDENTICAL SIGNS. MAKE A NOTE OF WHAT THEY SAY AND GET OUT OF THERE QUICKLY! HEAD TOWARDS N51° 44.268 W000° 47.125, WHERE YOU'LL FIND ANOTHER SIGN.
Location 1: HOW MANY LETTERS ARE IN THE FIRST WORD ON EACH SIGN? A. HOW MANY LETTERS ARE IN THE LAST WORD ON EACH SIGN? B.
Location 2: ON THE SIGNPOST, THE WORD RIDGEWAY APPEARS C TIMES. FOOTPATH IS SEEN D TIMES AND WALK IS ON IT E TIMES.
Final Hide: N51° 44.(D-E)CE W000° 4A.(B-1)CA. BECAUSE OF THE FINAL LOCATION, YOU'LL NEED TO BE IN FAIR PHYSICAL SHAPE TO REACH IT. ALSO CARE IS NEEDED WHEN RETRIEVING THE CACHE FOR REASONS THAT WILL BE OBVIOUS WHEN YOU GET THERE. WHEN YOU'VE FOUND IT, FINE VIEWS ARE TO BE HAD FROM A VIEWPOINT CLOSE BY.
