Geocache Description:

Five generations of Christians have enjoyed this parcel of land

This tract of land has passed down on the woman's side of the family for three generations. Originally acquired by the wife of Judge Sandborn in the 1920's, it passed to her daughter whose name was Roberts who passed it again to her daughter whose name is Christian and now lives in a nearby town. Ms Christian likes to keep land in natural state as nature barriers and she is willing to share it with cachers if we take care of it.

A pleasant, short, hike on private property in the New Hampshire woods. You can tell from the stone fences that this was once farm land, but that was over a century ago. Now it's real forest. The trail in was created by snow mobiles, widened by ATV's and is now posted because a few riders didn't consider other people's feelings. Let's try not to meet the same fate. You can't miss the POSTED signs at the parking spot which is at: N 43 02.940, W 71 11.391. We have permission for this cache and several family members were present for the hide. About the only use of this nice trail now is for locals to hike on and walk their dogs. You can bring your dog but there are leash laws and you need to be able to control it.

Access is via Smith Pond Rd off Long hill Rd in Raymond. Go in until the "main' road appears to go to the right and follow it up the hill to the parking co ordinates. Parking is off the road straigt ahead (this portion of the road gets no automobile traffic) or by the trail right next to the POSTED and NO TRESPASSING signs which we have permission to by pass. It should be an easy find as it is hidden in a fairly geobvious spot. I had more difficulty with these co ordinates than any other cache. Lots of variability due to the trees. I'd like to see some others results if the problem is too big. Cache has the regular stuff and a FTF buck.

Congratulations to RD-NK-CDY for FTF
