Geocache Description:

Two ways to approach cache, one best when tide is going out. The other is rather undulating across land but great views. Either way, make sure you get out to the end of the point.

Scandrett Regional Park (visit link) is a new addition to the ARC Park collection. Cache (well camouflaged) is located just off the track that goes to an historic boat building site. Area has lots of other interesting remnants from the early settlers. It is a great place for a picnic lunch, especially if you are there at high tide. A great view of Kawau Island and the Bay. If you are 'self contained' you can even stay the night in the car park.

Notes: The land is quite wet underfoot during winter. Wear sturdy shoes, particularly if walking across beach/rocks. Across land it will take about 15-20 minutes to reach cache, but walk is well worth it for views.

Gates open: 6am
Gates shut: 7pm winter, 8pm summer

Original contents:
Mini screwdriver set, coloured pencil set, hello kitty hair ties, robot pencil sharpener, fold up comb.
