Wis Kid: I noticed that this cache has remained temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of 'a few weeks' as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. For now, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. LOCATED JUST EAST OF DUNDEE WISCONSIN IN THE LONG LAKE STATE FOREST. PARKING COORDINATES ARE N43 38.931 W088 10.236. I DONT BELIEVE A FEE IS REQUIRED WHILE PARKING HERE. THIS SHOULD BE AN EASY DRIVE BY.

THIS CACHE IS DEDICATED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO BRAVELY SERVE OR HAVE SERVED IN OUR ARMED SERVICES. THE CACHE IS AN AMMO BOX FILLED WITH PATRIOTIC MEMORABILLIA. WE ALL MIGHT NOT AGREE WHERE OUR TROOPS SHOULD BE, BUT I THINK WE ALL AGREE THAT WE WANT THEM TO COME HOME SAFELY. PLEASE SAY A SHORT PRAYER WHILE YOU ARE HERE. WHEN PLACED, THE CACHE CONTAINED, COFFEE MUGS, SHOT GLASSES, BUMPER STICKERS, PINS, SMALL FLAGS AND A LOG BOOK. PLEASE SWAP ONLY PATRIOTIC TYPE ITEMS. IF YOU TAKE ONE ITEM, PLEASE REPLACE IT WITH ONE ITEM. THERE IS ALSO A CAMERA INSIDE. PLEASE USE IT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF YOU AT THE SITE. SINCE THIS IS LOCATED INSIDE THE LONG LAKE STATE FOREST, THERE IS NO HUNTING ALLOWED. SO IT SHOULD BE RELATIVELY SAFE DURING THE HUNTING SEASON. HOWEVER, THERE IS HUNTING JUST ACROSS THE ROAD AND ON THE PRIVATE LAND DIRECTLY TO THE WEST.

WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS CACHE, YOU CAN FOLLOW THE TRAIL TO DUNDEE MT. THERE IS A GREAT VIEW THERE AND TWO OTHER CACHES NEAR BY.
