Geocache Description:

A nice peaceful walk in open moorland

Candy was my Golden Retreiver and constant companion. Sadly she died aged 16 a couple of years back. When I stayed in the Ashwood area of the Bridge of Don we would walk to the place of the cache morning, noon and night and I'd sit on a rock and watch her having a good sniff around and generally enjoy herself.
This area can be so tranquil and is a great place to view buzzards and rabbits so remember to take your binoculars. Black and white rabbits have been seen here. Also, depending on the time of day, I have seen Roe Deer, Foxes and Badgers around the area.

HOW TO GET THERE
Head for the Ashwood/Woodcroft area of the Bridge of Don - one road in and one road out. Turn left at Woodcroft Road and turn left at the end of the road. At a grassy opening between houses, park at the dog waste bucket. Head towards the field and aim for the woodland at the bottom corner. Follow a track of sorts through the wood until you come to open moorland. Check the huge rabbit warren on the right. Its plain sailing from here on.
Alternatively, park at approx. NJ 90949 12189 BUT beware - in wet weather the ditch tends to fill with water making it a bit tricky to cross.
