Geocache Description:

Parking available nearby at Supercuts (now out of Business)

Cache is in the Union Burying Ground that was established in 1848 by United Empire Loyalists. This was Burlington's first cemetery. Many of the first people buried here were United Empire Loyalists, hence the name. This cemetery was built on land once owned by Chief Joseph Brant, the famous Brant's Block, land given to him for service to the British in the Revolutionary War. The best way to enter the cemetery is through the large iron gates for vechiles and then the smaller iron gate into the cemetery. Cache contains only a log book & pen.
