Geocache Description:

[ITA] E' proprio sulla Serra di S. Elia, una delle "spine dorsali" di calcare che corrono lungo il Salento.

[ENG] Just on the Serra S. Elia, one of the limestone backbones that run over Salento.

[ITA] La cache è nascosta nel bellissimo, anche se degradato, parco di un piccolo castello abbandonato sulla strada tra Campi Salentina e Squinzano, in Provincia di Lecce. Dopo una rilassante passeggiata tra i pini, gli ulivi e le deliziose fragranze meditarranee... mettetevi sulle tracce del geocache! E' un micro-cache, si tratta di una piccola pallina di plastica che contiene l'essenziale: il logbook e un grosso bottone nero (mi spiace ma non avevo molto tempo, ed era l'unica cosa a tiro). Non ho nascosto il cache tra le mura del castello (sarebbe stato troppo facile), ma dategli un'occhiata perchè è davvero interessante, andate poi alla ricerca nel parco (seguite con attenzione le coordinate). Sebbene sia proprietà privata, l'accesso al castello e i suoi dintorni è assolutamente libero. La gente del luogo va a farci jogging, giri in bici e passeggiate, perciò non abbiate alcun timore! Suggerimento: dalla strada principale troverete un cancello e un muro, per raggiungere il posto c'è un secondo accesso, molto più suggestivo e tranquillo... date un'occhiata alla foto allegata al listing principale.

[ENG] The cache in hidden in the beautiful, but still degraded, park of a little abandoned castle on the road between Campi Salentina and Squinzano, in the Province of Lecce. Take a relaxing walk between the pines, the olive trees and the other mediterranean fragrances all around the place. Then put yourself on the trails of geocache... It's a micro-cache, consisting in a small plastic ball containing the essentials: a logbook and a big black dress button (sorry, I had'nt much time and it was the only thing I found around to put in). I haven't hidden the cache in the walls of the castle (it would be too easy), so look at it because is really interesting, but go search the cache in the park (follow carefully the coordinates). Even if it's a private ground, the access to the castle and its surroundings is totally free. People abitually goes there to jogging, biking and take a walk, so don't be afraid. Hint: from the main road you'll find a gate and a wall, so you have to use a secondary access, even more suggestive... please take a look to the main log's picture.
