Many Many Many Thanks to Find Waldo for replacing my cache after NDOT cleared the shoulder! :bows: Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Quick stop along the road from Ely to Pioche... and hopefully incentive to take the Mt Wilson Scenic Byway.
Trekrr and I came down from a fantastic trip along the Mt Wilson Scenic Byway and wondered why so few people have been to the cache (GCG8WN). Is it because it's so far out there? Or because people don't know that you can drive easily to it? Or maybe think that the road is in terrible condition, when in truth most vehicles with some clearance can make it?
Well, the next time you take a drive along Hwy 93, stop here and take a look east. Its not a bad road at all and you can drive right up there.
Or, if you prefer, here's a great reason to stop at Pony Springs, stretch your legs and enjoy the beauty of Eastern Nevada.
P.S. Rule of Thumb applies to my belief that the harder a cache is to get to, the easier it should be to get - and vice versa. This is a moderately hard cache to get, simply due to the distance. So it's a moderate hide.
Enjoy!
