A plastic box located in a wood behind the Wells Wesleyan Church's parking lot, in Wells, in New York, in the Southern Adirondacks.
This is one of my quick stop caches for those who are traveling through Wells New York, or just enjoying a walk through this lovely town. The cache is a clear plastic box with a green cover on it. It's named "Wells Wesleyan Church" and has a picture of a cross-eyed fish on it. The cache is located in a wooded area behind a dirt parking lot of a white & green Church along route 30. There are places to eat and some senic vews close to the cache's location. All a walk away. So if you are physicly, mentaly, or spiritualy hungry, this is the cache for you.
History: The church building was first a Catholic Church and was located infront of the St. Anne's Cementary where route 30 now is. In February 1935 the Pilgrim Holiness Church bought the old building and moved it to it's presant location. In 1948, there was a fire in the church but the building's shell was in good condition. In 1968 the Pilgrim Holiness and Wesleyan Methodist Church merged to become the Wesleyan Church.
PS:
The cache is within five feet of the coordinates. This cache is year-round, but during early-Spring, the woods might be flooded. Also the church is working on a handycap addition and might leave a few things around the ground. Please watch your step.
