Geocache Description:

This natural element can be found in an easily accessible area near Sparwood, BC. Many people seek out these types of springs to help heal many ailments so we thought what a great thing to share with all you geofriends.

On your way to Elkford from Sparwood turn "Right" when you see a large sign saying Elk Valley Coal Line Creek Operations. Follow this paved road till you cross a bridge, turn left onto the dirt road right after and follow it along for aprox 10 km's. You'll see a sign in a tree saying Sulphur springs on the left. You want to take this road and follow it a short distance till you see a fairly sharp left turn and a yellow open gate. This cache Ter. was rated a 3 due to this road. It can get a bit muddy and rutty but nothing your typical 4x4 truck can't handle. It may however not be the kind of road you want to take your typical low clearance car on. Once you’re on this road your GPS will guide you the rest of the way. This area is frequently visited in the winter by skidoo also.

The springs are also the home of many small mouse nests found in the ground all around so please watch where you walk. Also don't forget to bring a camera there are a large variety of wildlife that frequently graze and roam in the nearby field. Bring a swim suit, pack a lunch and have a great time!
