Placed in some woodland near Kendal, leading to a riverside walk.

The cache is hidden in Scroggs Wood, an area of (ancient?) woodland marking part of the southern border of Kendal. The woodland is managed by the Woodland Trust and links to a larger section of wood along the river Kent.

The section of the wood along the river is a SSSI - this section is not, but please respect the woodland and don't take any short cuts - you really don't need to! There's a bridge across the beck where it meets the river, at the bottom of the lane.

I'd recommend exploring the riverside path, either towards Kendal (turn left at the river) or towards Sedgewick (turn right) and take in some or all of Safie's Sedgewick Saunter or Safie's West Bank Wander.

There's a small car parking area (enough for 2 cars) specifically for the wood just off the A6 by the Hadwins used car dealership. There's also a small area down the lane.

Please note - The cache was previously hidden in a hollowed-out log with an attached blue plastic tub. Its no longer hidden in this, but the log remains with a bit of plastic I couldn't recover when it got broken. Don't be fooled into thinking the cache has been muggled if you find this!

Enjoy!
