Update 8/23/21: After reading the last log we knew a trip to the area was required. The nearby paths are really overgrown and yes--there is poison ivy (lots of it!). The spot where the container had been has, strangely enough, been cleared--but the path has not. We did place a replacement container rather than archive the cache because older caches are still important to many of the newer cachers. However--be aware that winter would be a better time to go for this one because of the poison ivy in the area. The cache requires a walk deep into the woods but is just a short distance off of a trail and in a location where you should be able to get a decent signal on your gps unit. But be aware that the trails in this forest preserve are not well maintained and you may have to bushwack a bit to find the correct trail--especially in the summer months. Do not try to access this cache from the highway and do not climb over the fence. The cache is on the forest preserve side of the fence and can only be reached from there. Have fun!
