Geocache Description:

Replaced 3/24/19! This kid friendly, AmmoBox cache is located in Babcock Woods Park in SE Waverly.

(2006) **INTRODUCING** Maxwell MidKnight - the caching K9. My new black lab pup "Max" joined me for his first cache hide hike. With lots to sniff, he was quickly hooked on caching!

(2017) My how time passes... Max is now an 11 year old dog who has a little trouble getting around. He has a growth on his spleen - we are enjoying him while we can. Good old Max.

(April 2019) Max is Now 13! He doesn’t get out of the yard much anymore. But he’s still kickin!

(November 2019) We gave Max back to mother nature in late November. He had lost a bunch of weight - and it was just time. His arthritic hips hurt him no more... He is chasing rabbits and sniffing trails! Good dog Max, Good dog. Thanks for all the hikes!

Summer of 2006 I had the privilege to accompany the WSR Rocky Mountain Alpine Studies trip to Crested Butte Colorado. The trip took nine days and we hiked and camped for six of those. It was a great experience because of the great students and trip leaders that I went with and the awesome surroundings. This cache honors those people and the memories of the trip.

(2017) cache was moved slightly and replaced with a mirco. It is a pill bottle covered in CAMO DUCT TAPE.

(2019) changed to an ammo box!! Great toys inside - cars, dinosaurs and a box of crayons. GO KNIGHTS!!!
