Geocache Description:


After watching various geo-caching groups receive and hand out Jeep travel bugs, we were wondering how we could get in on the action.
We e-mailed Jeep only to have our letters bounce back. We tried to find a phone number with no luck.
We did find a Jeep travel bug request form; we filled it out, told them of our plan for a Jeep caching event, and sent it in weeks ago (snail mail). At this point we have heard nothing (stay tuned). If we receive any Jeep travel bugs we will be giving them out at the event. You can request your own at: (visit link)
While we were trying to contact Jeep we found that we could buy the little Green Jeeps (white ones also, no dog tags) from Jeeps website. We ordered 40.
We will be placing at least 7 new caches for this event, with a Green Jeep to keep as the FTF prize.
We also met (on the web) a fellow cacher and U S Marine, fancifully handful, she was kind enough to send us (with friends traveling through) a nice batch of ammo cans. Along with the seven new caches that we will be placing, we will be raffling off 10 of these ammo cans complete with a logbook, pen, pencil, and a copy of the you have found a geocache sheet. We will also raffle a few Green, and white Jeeps to keep.

Come on out, sign the log, and get a free raffle ticket. We will get things started on 8/6 at 10:00am by handing out the cords for the new caches. There will be a potluck lunch; we will bring a BBQ, tables, and hot dogs, you can bring chairs, drinks, and side dishes.
Parking is limited a the site. Additional parking and restrooms are a short walk away at: 40 35.565 122 23.868.

Again you will need to bring your own chair.

We welcome any suggestions, help, and raffle prizes.

We will stick around as long as people want to shoot the bull. Lets hope for some cooler weather, so folks won't roast.
Maybe Jeep will get back to releasing the travel bugs in June again next year when it's cooler.
