This is across from the Historic Lochsa Ranger Station.
Every time I drive by here, I think 'what a great location for a cache'. I wonder why someone else hasn't placed one here before. Well, now there's one there (somewhere). The hike is about 1/2 mile, but easy. The trick might be 'where to park' -- there is plenty to choose from, but it might make the hike a little longer.
While you're in the area be sure to check out the Historic Lochsa Ranger Station, camp overnight at the Wilderness Gateway Campground, or just enjoy a picnic for the day. We found out that a lot of rafters and kayakers use this campground.
The container is small, but I was able to get two hot wheels, a rad race car, poncho, lcd game, key chain, log book, pencil and sharpener inside.
