How Geocaching Works

The cache is in the remnants of the old dam, behind some red splits of brick between two bigger grayish stones. You may have problems with landslide or jungle.
At the opposite wall (west side) there is a ring of iron only about 2 m from the cache in the east wall.

In Trollshovda there has been ironworks from 1850, producing more than 200 ton billets per year. At foundation the plans were already 200 years old for this location: the forest could give charcoal, the little brook water power and the gulf was a good harbour. Some of the iron ore was imported from Sweden, some was from local bogs. Old people in Trollshovda still remember the making of charcoal in the huts made of slagbricks. Six of the huts are left, one of them now used as chapel. Take time for some sight-seeing!
If you think the coordinates aren't exact, please tell us better ones. The old dam is not difficult to find, and the cache is in the most southwestern part of it.
If you walk along the road from south you should go to the brook in east where there is a wall made of rocks at your western side. The cache is only about 10 m from the road, not in the larger area of rectangular walls more to east.
If you follow the brook up from south you should stop at the first "gate" of walls built of rocks and tiles. At the west side you can see a ring of iron about 1,5 m above brook bottom and at the east side of the "gate" is the cache about 1,3 m above brook bottom. Often the brook is empty in this part, the water flowing under rocks.
