This cache is in Lenabo Woods, the site of an Airship Station during the 1914-1918 War. This was a base for military airships known locally as Lenabo Soos (i.e. Sows, as in "if pigs might fly"). Nothing remains but a few ruins of the old buildings and some of the anchorages and foundations within what is now forestry land.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the South take the turn off the A90 to Fraserburgh at the Toll of Birness Junction then after a few miles take the turn off to Peterhead and Lenabo is a further 2 miles on.
GPS signal is good along the tracks and at the location.
