Irvine Creek Cemetery is a pretty country cemetery located up a hill. There is room to park along the road. The terrain rating is due to the walk up the hill. I had trouble getting good coordinates so the coordinates will take you near a headstone. The cache is about 8' NW. There is no need to cross the barbed wire fence.
Irvine Creek Cemetery is an older cemetery serving the country folks in the area. The cache is not located at a grave so please do not disturb the gravestones or graves. If you have young children please have them be careful around the headstones. The very old ones are not always stable and fall over easily. I don't want anyone hurt. Melvin and Minnie Amick both have wooden headstones but the dates or any other information is long gone from these neat old headmarkers. As is typical in the older cemeteries, there are many beautiful old stones to look at. The oldest graves are: Bartholomew Fowler 1808-1892, Silas Blodgett 1808-1892, Catherine Waltz 1800-1874, Anna Maria Drevs 1804-1880 (her grave is in the NW corner), Mary Clark 1816-1886, Matthias Clush died in 1880, Valentine Lovely 1835-1888, and many others. Jacob Schamberger was a Civil War Cavalry Veteran in Co.C..
Please replace the "cover" carefully so you don't smash the cache. :)
