Geocache Description:

Inspired by the local ‘X Marks The Spot’ series, this is a slight variation on the theme…

The co-ordinates above take you to the public car park off the B2128 Wonersh Common Road. The entrance to the car park is easily missed, so approach slowly! From there, Chinthurst Hill can be reached either by a short climb or a more leisurely stroll. Either way, on a clear day there are fantastic views from the top over the local countryside. On the summit stands another impressive sight - Chinthurst Tower, built in the 1930’s as a folly.

The cache has been placed with the kind permission of Surrey Wildlife Trust, who manage the site, which is a designated local nature reserve. For more details, see the Trust web pages for Chinthurst. The local ranger would welcome feedback on your visit via your log.

Please e-mail me through my profile if you need some help.

The author was born elsewhere, but lived in Surrey for many years.
