Dave from Glanton: Cache has gone, so I'll archive rather than replace, and leave the spot available in case any other cacher wants to take advantage of this location.

I'd suggest parking at the car park / picnic area at N55º 31.013 W01º53.263. From here, follow the main track heading towards the wood. A short distance after the barrier there's a post with three waymarkers. The green and red trails head along the nice flat forest track - you need to take the footpath marked by the yellow arrow, up into the woods and up the side of the hill.
Please take care on your way up to, and at, the cache site; the ground here is a mixture of fine, sandy soil and pine needles which can be slippery when wet or dry. It's not a long climb, but it's a bit on the steep side, and walking boots are recommended. I've been up and down here plenty of times, and on many occasions I've found myself grabbing onto a tree to steady myself.
Once you've got to the cache site, take a moment to get your breath and take in the scenery. From here you have some great views (weather permitting) west towards the Cheviot hills. To the north-west, just on the other side of the road, lie the ruins of a bastle where the Hepburn family originated and this remained the seat of a line of the family until the eighteenth century when that branch died out having left only a female heir.
The cache container is a 1.5l lock'n'lock style box. Please don't remove anything from underneath the box, as it's in place to stop the box falling down a hole (you'll see what I mean when you find it).

* USB computer light
* Floppy disks (with a few bits'n'bobs on)
