This area is really nice. A couple of things to keep in mind is that there are cliffs and large patches of posion oak in the vicinity. The trail is short and easy. The trail ends at a cliff with a nice ocean view provided, courtesy of nature. The elevation is around 100 FT.
PLEASE PLACE CONTAINER BACK UNDER THE BUSHES WELL. THANKS:-)
Parking or camping is available for a fee, but there are are nice picnic areas, a general store, beach and fun trails to explore. There are also many caches in the area to hunt down. If you go N-NW from the cache just under 101 HWY you will find a private campground with a great general store and a very tasty gourmet deli.
The area around the cache ( trail and beach ) is not traveled as much as the other trails and beaches in the area. Although there are some trash cans provided, many people seem to miss them. I have a hard time passing up a piece of trail trash. So I always bring a couple of shopping bags for hauling it out. Please consider doing the same.
