Geocache Description:

Hamilton Beach on Lake Ontario. A long stretch of sand beach with a paved trail running it's entire length. Ample parking can be found at either end, either by the Burlington lift bridge, or closer to Confederation park.

**Update (28/08/2006)** When we placed this cache it was in a nice secluded spot but now we have just come home after a few days away to find that our neighbours had decided to trim all the trees and bushes on our stretch of beach for us and now the cache site is quite exposed. Please use extra caution when accessing the cache.

We thought that the beach strip could use a new cache so we decided to, in true pirate fashion, "bury" some treasure here. WARNING: no digging is required to find this cache. WARNING: please only approach this cache from the beach and not from the paved trail. There are various access points to the beach from the trail close by.

This will be an easy find. The object is to give geocachers another in a group of caches that can all be done wails in the area. Come by bike or roller blade (although you may get sand in your wheels), city bus, or on foot. There are parking lots at each end of the Hamilton Beach trail, and washrooms and refreshments can be found along the way. Please only approach this cache from the beach and not the trail so as not to trample the vegetation which keeps the neighbourhood from eroding away. Also, please use the necessary stealth to protect the integrity of the cache site. This should be an obvious location so use your head before trampling all over the place.

Enjoy!
