This cache has been archived.

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever. Due to lack of response from the owner, this cache listing is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible. If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Geocache Description:

Magnetic micro placed in connection to one of Oslo's best saved Museum-secrets. This both a museum and a mausoleum for the younger brother to the famous sculpturer Gustav Vigeland.

The Emanuel Vigeland Museum is situated in Grimelundsveien no. 8, between Vinderen and Slemdal.

Oslo Byleksikon (1987) gives this description: "The Emanuel Vigeland Museum is originally the atelier of Emanuel Vigeland (1875-1948), opened to the public in 1959. The Museum shows his life work Vita, a series of fresco paintings (1927-47) and some portraits."

The GPS'r receiving conditions might be poor due to the tall brick building. It could be wise to study the hint below if you are not a risk-taker. Originally the cache contains a small pencil and a logsheet. Probably the pencil will not last to long, so consider bringing your own.
