This cache has been archived.

zanadian: This cache was exceeding its lifespan within a BC Park, so it needs to be archived [:(]. There will hopefully be another cache around Nemo Creek soon [;)]

Geocache Description:

Can You Find Nemo?

The trail head for this geocache is located less than 5km. southwest of Silverton. It is boat access only, so navigate to N49° 55.432 - W117° 24.483 where you will find a nice sandy beach, and a great place to camp. In behind the beach is a picnic table, outhouse, and the trailhead. The trail is less than 3km to the cache site and mostly uphill. Along the way you will see waterfalls, cross brooks and come across unusual rock formations that resemble castles. It is near one of these huge rocks where you will find the cache. The satellight reception is poor, and when I did get a signal, my GPS had an acuracy of only 22meters, so you might want to check out the spoiler picture and hint. Further up the trail a little over 1km. is the remains of an old trappers cabin.

The first part of this trail consists of a loop and then a one-way trail up to the cache site. At the begining, take the trail that follows the creek (it's way more scenic)

The cache is a lockable tupperware style container and includes:

  • logbook, pencil
  • hackeysak
  • multi tip screwdriver
  • oval stone container
  • Handmade wooden Sun
  • Handmade wooden Moon
  • 1965 Chevy Impala
