A well graded walking track and boardwalk follows the shoreline to Greenpoint providing panoramic views across bluff harbour and highlighting features of natural and historic interest. At low tide it is possible to walk along the beach but use good footwear as the rocks are sharp and brittle.
Carpark off the busy road provides one rubbish bin but no toilet, the nearest facilities are in Bluff. This cache is a 500ml round screwtop container painted black. When hidden it contained various trading items, log book, and pencil.
Hide is anchored with an old Shacklock Orion stove ring to keep lid from being dislodged. Please leave cache hidden and intact from curious eyes.
It is not necessary to get close to the railway tracks. Further along the walkway is the railway level crossing, it is protected by wooden fencing remembering to look both ways when crossing as trains ply the main trunk line daily. They can be visible for 100's of metres so keep young children close at hand and don't forget to wave at the driver as they go past.
