Turn West into Blackwood canyon from Hwy. 89 at N 39 06.813 x W 120 09.490.(Kaspian) Stay on the paved road. Park at N 39 04.675 x W 120 12.698. WALK UPSTREAM FROM HERE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE WATER.
This cache is a couple hundred feet off of one of my favorite paths on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. To get there you will have to walk about two thirds of a mile along a small stream through alder groves, corn lilies, and a hundred varieties of wildflowers. Total elevation gain 175 feet. Total spirit gain...? The cache is located in a rocky area between the upper and lower meadows. You may want to go just a little further to check out the upper one (nice views there). The cache is an ammo box. Have fun and enjoy the scenery!
