Der Sanetschpass /Col du Sénin (2252 müM) liegt als
Alpenpass vollständig im Kanton Wallis. Die heute befahrbare
Strasse wurde ursprünglich für den Bau des Stausees errichtet. Oben
auf dem Pass stehst du mitten in der Bergwelt der Diablerets im
Osten und der Karrenfelder des zurückgewichenen
Tsanfleurongletschers.
Nach dem Pass führt die Strasse noch etwas weiter, vorbei am Lac
de Sénin bis zur Bergstation einer Bahn, welche nach Gsteig im
Berner Oberland führt.
Achtung! Sackgasse!
Gesamtlänge hin und zurück ab Conthey/Pont de la Morge beträgt
68km. Die Strasse ist gut ausgebaut, die letzen paar hundert Meter
sind ungeteert.
Sanetsch pass / Col du Sénin (2252 m) is a dead end road. It is
pretty good to drive up to the top of the pass where you will enjoy
the scenery of the nearby Diablerets mountains in east and the
clint having left behind after the glacier of Tsanfleuron melted
back more and more.
Than the road goes on. It follows the lake and ends at the station
of a telecabine. You'll get tastful raclette in the nearby alpine
dairy.
The complet length to drive up from Conthey/Pont de la Morge and
back again is 68km. Only the last couple of hundred meters is
unpaved dirt road.
