Geocache Description:

CACHE HAS BEEN MOVED TO A NEW SPOT NOT TO FAR FROM ITS ORIGINAL LOCATION

After WWII colleges and universities were “invaded” by veterans and their families who were using G.I. benefits to get an education. Lack of enough housing for the many married couples and young families was a problem. One of the ways that Ball State University solved the problem was the creation of a trailer court on the north edge of campus. That trailer court was used from the late forties/early fifties until the mid to late seventies. When it was shut down in the seventies I used the opportunity to do “treasure hunting” on the site with my metal detector. Silver coins were present in abundance at that time.

The university has turned this area into a parking lot. Although it is a parking lot, it is not simply acres of blacktop used for car storage. The area has a winding road that moves cars from the north to the south. It has green areas and lots of trees.

You will need to bring your own writing tool and watch for muggles.
