Geocache Description:

This hunt will take you on a trip to near Pemberville, Ohio and a short history lesson about a local Civil War Hero.

Welcome to Pemberville Cemetery and the final resting place of a Medal of Honor recipient from the Civil War. It is also the "resting place" of our first cache, and it's just around the corner from our homestead!!
The above coordinates will take you to a historical plaque at the cemetery entrance. As you read the account of the Civil War Hero, Elihu H. Mason, you will need to find the answer to the following question to determine the coordinates for stage two.
--What day in March 1863 did President Lincoln award the Medal of Honor to Captain Mason? Add your answer to EACH of the following coordinates to locate stage two.
41* 23.733 (N)
083* 29.526 (W)
At stage two you will be standing at Elihu H. Mason's gravesite. To determine the coordinates for the final stage - and the cache - you will need to answer the following question.
--To what Ohio Infantry unit did Elihu Mason belong? Add your answer to EACH of the following coordinates to locate the cache.
41* 23.775 (N)
083* 29.420 (W)
The cache is a sandwich-size Tupperware container with logbook and various trade items. It is also less than 2 miles from the caches "No Fishing" and "According to Webster"
