"Indiana Spirit Quest"


ISQ - Except no others!


The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just two years, the quest has over five hundred caches hidden in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Ontario and the hiders have grown to over twenty five cacher teams, most of which of which are comprised of Dogs and their Humans.
Over 1,000 cacher teams have logged over 19,000 ISQ finds.

This plot was acquired by the U.S. Government from the Potawatomi Indians through the Tippecanoe treaty of 1832 is known to have been a burial ground prior to 1841 at which time it was shown as an exclusion in an abstract which deeded the adjourning land to a private individual.

Names of persons buried here were taken from remaining grave markers and from all local records which could be found.

Rehabilitated and dedicated in 1976 as a Hobart Bicentennial community project.
