An easy multi at the playground next to Seattle's newest library.
Several years ago, Seattle voters passed a bond measure to fund remodeling of existing libraries and construction of new libraries. No doubt most of you have seen the fruits of this bond measure in your geocaching wanderings. The latest Seattle library just opened on July 15, 2006. This simple multicache will give you an excuse to check out the new library and adjacent community center.
The posted coordinates are for waypoint #1, where you will find a colorful piece of artwork. How many colors of glass circles do you see? Keep in mind these are created by hand, so there are slight variations between circles, but the basic colors should be pretty clear. Let the number of colors equal A.
Now if you look toward the library you will see a stone sculpture. Let the number of letters in the artist's first name equal B. Let the year the sculpture was created equal CDEF.
Waypoint #2 is in the playground. Find the spinning letters. How many three-letter mammals can you spell with these letters? Use one letter from each cube. You can exclude pet, which of course can sometimes be a mammal, and man/men. Assign this number to G.
The final is a bison tube located nearby at 47 42.G(E-C)F and 122 19.A(D-E)(B-A).
