Geocache Description:

G:UK cache rating

Until the 19th century, Rebra's Well was nothing but a muddy spring. When the Rev. Grenville Phillimore was appointed to Wargrave, he was shocked that this was all the local people had to provide them with water. He raised enough money to fit a proper basin, and the parishioners raised further money for a brick building.

The Reverend renamed it Rebecca' Well, after the biblical Rebecca who was chosen to be Isaac's wife while fetching water at a well.

The co-ordinates are for the well. Take the date engraved on the front of the building (ignore any dates you might find inside) and use it to find the cache:

N 051º 30 . (date minus 1008)
W 000º 50 . (date minus 1196)

You are looking for a large lock'n'lock tupperware box. After rain the path can be extremely muddy, so we recommend you wear boots!
