Two-mile hike located in the Eklutna Lake Recreation Area. Open
to foot traffic only; closed to ATV's and bicycles. Parking fee
required. The cache is a small ammo can.
The Eydlu Bena Loop Trail is part of an old road bed that has
recently been cleared. From the parking lot, cross over the Twin
Peaks Creek bridge and follow signs to the trailhead. The trail
goes through a forest of mixed birch and spruce. It is steep in
some sections, with a total elevation gain of 300 feet. It is
groomed for skiing in the winter. The trail ends at the Lakeside
Trail. From this point, it is one half mile to return to the
trailhead and campground, for a loop total of two miles.
