Der Julier Pass (2284 müM) verbindet Tiefencastel
mit Silvaplana. Mit seiner Länge von 43 km ist er eine der die
wichtigste Verbindungstrecke der Nordostschweiz in die
Bilderbuchwelt des Oberengadins. Die nördliche Anfahrt schleppt
sich lange dahin, bis endlich ab Bivio das eingentlich Treiben
beginnen kann. Die Südauffahrt ist wegen der grossen Höhenlage von
Silvaplana bedeutend kürzer. Viele Kurven hat es auf jedenfall, die
Schrauber werden auf ihre Kosten kommen.
Julier Pas (2284 m) connects Tiefencastel with Silvaplana. The
whole route is 43 km long. It's the most important connection from
northern Switzerland to the picture postcard region of Engadin.
It's a pretty long ride coming from north whereas the ride up from
Silvaplana is much shorter. (Silvaplanas altitude is 1815 m
already). Lovers of kurves and bends will find them – that's for
true!
