Geocache Description:

Do you know the airport was here in old times?

Sir Narahara established the first civilian airfield in Japan here in May, 1912.
There is a commemoration hall in the park,the restored biplane is exhibited.
# If the facilities of an army are included, the first airfield in Japan will turn into an army airfield in Tokorozawa established in 1911.

And,there are open space of the grass which can enjoy a picnic, and the sands whose sea bathing is possible.

稲毛海岸には昔飛行場があったのをご存知でしょうか？

日本における初の国産機を飛行させた奈良原三次男爵は、明治45年５月、この地に日本初の民間飛行場を開設しました。
公園内には記念館があり、復元された複葉機が展示されています。

＃軍の施設を含めると、日本初の飛行場は明治44年に開設された所沢の陸軍飛行場となります。

公園内では、芝生の広場でピクニックや日本初の人工砂浜で海水浴を楽しむことができます。
楽しい一日を過ごして下さい。
