Geocache Description:

This cache is designed to give Sierra Trek and other off –road folks an opportunity to do some caching. This cache features the rocks for which the trails are famous.

This 1x4x6 tin cache is waiting for a good rock crawler (with feet). Before traveling up to this series of caches, take a moment to search the internet for Summit City or Meadow Lake. The history of this area is quite interesting beyond what is written on the monuments and plaques.

The Sierra Trek series of caches is meant to give a little extra spice to jeepers and other off road folks. This series is centered in the Summit City/Meadow Lake ghost town area that hosts the annual “Sierra Trek” premier off road events. In addition, the area is known for its beauty and rich history.

Most vehicles approach the area from the road to Jackson Meadows and turn near Webber Lake....the tough approach from Bowman Lake..... the insane approach from “I-80 Eagle Lake Exit”.

There is a pencil but it is always a good idea to bring an extra. Mugglers abound....

The usual Sierra dangers of insects, snakes, wildlife, etc. require the normal precautions. Remember, DO NOT FEED THE BEARS, hands, legs, or children. If you have small pets, the local Bald Eagle would appreciate you leaving your pets unattended.
