Geocache Description:

this cache has been archived. it was in an area of lime hollow that does not allow geocaching.

Here's another cache located in beautiful Lime Hollow Nature Preserve. This one is located near Chicago Bog on Lime Hollow's Phillips Trail.

Parking for this portion of Lime Hollow is available off Gracie Road at 42° 33.785, 076° 14.830.

The cache is located about 10-15 feet off the trail, so little-to-no bushwhacking is involved. Please respect the serenity of Lime Hollow and, to paraphrase the sign at the trailhead, let no one say that it was more beautiful before you were there.

The cache is a small round plastic container covered in camouflage tape. There are a few small trade items inside, as well as the logbook. Also, to promote more caches in this area (even if they are micros), I have a pre-prepared micro cache (in a waterproof tube!) in there for someone to grab and hide somewhere.

Please be sure to snap the lid back on tightly when you are done. Be sure to check out my other cache in Lime Hollow, "Lime Hollow Stash-a-Cache" (GCVFA6). You will need to find a different trailhead for it, but it is worth it.
