Geocache Description:

Parking coordinates are: N44 44.104 and W085 38.866

Godfried Franke bought 40 acres of land for $700 in 1879. He then built a water driven mill which was used for a variety of purposes. One use was for early electrical power. Jerry Oleson then purchased the land in 1931 for $1,200. He added many more acres and used it for farming. In 1956 he started to raise buffalo. At this time he had 3! Since then the buffalo herds have grown and have been moved to several surrounding farms as well as one in the Upper Peninsula. One herd still makes its home up and over the hill from here!

This should be an easy cache for all to find. There are trinkets for kids of all ages to trade, but, sadly, none for the buffalo! Have fun and good luck.
