This park is very busy on the weekends. There are lots of
muggles out walking their dogs at all times on the weekdays. There
are softball games to the east and northwest of the cache almost
every night. Stealth is important for this cache.
I have tried to make the cache somewhat muggle resistant, this
means that you will need to figure out how to open the cache so
that you can log it. The container and access method are similar to
another cache that is somewhat nearby. Enjoy the park while you are
here. If you fish bring your pole and try some fishing in the
stocked pond.
There is plenty of parking in the 3 parking lots & on the
street. The park is officially open 6a-10p.
The park is dog friendly. Dogs must be under voice control at
all times. Dogs must be leashed on playgrounds, picnic shelters and
ball fields when there is play. Owners must clean up after their
pet. Owners must have a leash in their possession at all times.

information on Englewood Parks.
To the south of the cache, on the other side of Belleview, there
was a horserace track originally called "Colorful Downs" but the
owners wanted a classier name so the name "Centennial Turf Club"
was chosen. It opened on July 4, 1950 and closed down on November
6, 1983.
You can find out more information about the racetrack at this
site.
The park this cache is in was named after the racetrack.
During the 1965 Flood of the South Platte River the area where the
park and the cache are located were underwater.
The hints are required reading to open this cache.
The cache is on the north side of Union Blvd. There is no reason to
cross the street. This street can get very busy so keep an eye on
the young cachers. There are high voltage power lines overhead near
the cache. This cache is very close to the Platte River bike trail.
