Celebrating 10 years at this location - hidden August 1, 2006!
My kids are grown now, and we've moved away from the area, so I hope the cache is in good condition. I reminded my kids that what they enjoy about Pokemon Go! is what we enjoyed about geocaching all those years ago.
It's hard for me to imagine my oldest going to college in a few weeks. I'll always remember the fun and excitement of geocaching, and I'll miss all the fun of the little kid years. If you're visiting with your kids, I hope you enjoy this spot as much as we did and I hope you'll remember your time together long after you find the treasure.
Update: 11/13/16
After more than 10 years in this location, some awful person stole the treasure chest my kids & I made. I debated removing the cache permanently, but came around to the idea that it made a lot of people happy for 10 years. So today we installed a new treasure chest (no artwork this time) and re-stocked the pirate swag. I hope it will last another 10 years.
