Geocache Description:

Cache is located in Likely, about a 1 hour drive out from Hwy 97.
Look for a camo.container located in one of our beautiful Provincial Parks on the shores of Quesnel Lake, holding a chest of treasures fit for a kid.
There are many pieces of historic mining equiptment and machinery on display in the park, as well as a museum open in the summer.
Cedar Point was first used as a stop-over and camping spot of the ancient Interior Shuswap People, then a rendezvous spot for the Hudson Bay fur trappers in 1832, after that prospectors arrived in 1858 and discovered gold in Cedar Creek, which runs through the park.
Miners flooded in with news of the gold find, and the bustling community became "Cedar City". Learn more about the fascinating history of the area in the nearby parks museum/tourist info.
High muggle area, be sleuthful.
