This Cache was placed to mark the beginning and end point of our
2006 canoe trip to Chiniguchi Lake via the Chiniguchi River.
5 Venturers and 2 leaders took on the wilds of the great north
for a one week trip to Lake Chiniguchi. The trip was a fairly
easy paddle for us but it rained most of the way except for the day
we spent on the beach and the last day.
The cache was placed to mark the area so that others will be
able to find this easily accessed boat launch (and so that we can
find our way back another time).
This is a novice canoe trip should you wish to attempt it and
should not put any undue strain on a young family or learning
canoers. Google "Chiniguchi" for more information on the
area.
The cache is a camo taped juice crystals container that looks
like a giant pear. It is placed beside an old ruin and
contains some zip ties, fishing lures, and other camping/travelling
related items.
