Geocache Description:

Situated in Karaka Grove - part of the Palmerston North City Heritage Trail.

The grove is situated near Massey University in an area between various research institutes (please do not trespass on the property of these institutes – the way to the grove is signed "City Heritage Trail").



The given coordinates are of the entrance to the grove. The density of the trees within the grove is such that mapping the location of the cache exactly with GPS coordinates is near impossible! You will need to bring a flashlight to find this one.

Enter the grove and following the path, scan the area (tip: hold the flashlight at eye level) to find a reflector that will indicate the location of the cache (please do not remove the reflector!).

Initial contents: Note: if you do go later in the day, park your car before the last gate – workers sometimes lock these after hours.
