Geocache Description:

Whidbey Island, Penn Cove area, a short walk on sand and driftwood.

This is the sequel to an archived cache at this scenic little
beach. On a clear day both the Cascade and the Olympic mountains
are in view. The town of Coupeville is directly across the cove.
Parking is at the Day Use/boat launch area at the end of Monroe
Landing Road. Monroe Landing is the most direct but not the only
approach to this area. Check out the reader board for a short
history of the area and the native peoples. The container is now an ammo can. Hopefully it will keep things drier than the old container, we'll see. On the day I placed the cache I watched two crabbers setting their pots and also saw an eagle and some sailboats playing in the breeze.
